Requirements for Videos in Updates

All videos have a ratio of 16:9 (vertical or horizontal, and all types of content). If the uploaded video is not 16:9, black bars are added on the sides to adapt to this ratio.

  • Max resolution to stream: HD (720p)
  • Max size: 1GB for all uploads total within an article
  • Behavior:
    • Automatic resize to fit the screen width
    • Resizing and cropping the original image is not possible
    • Alignment (left/right/center) within the update is not possible
    • Streamed, so the playback quality might be lower than the uploaded video
