The XID is an unique identifier for individual users. This should be unique and can never change as this is the identifier we use to apply mutations to users.
The User Sync is a piece of software that is responsible for the user management in a network. The User Sync tracks mutations within the employee base of a client, and synchronises these changes to the Speakap platform on a (usually) daily basis. A few of the supported mutations in the User Sync are:
- Inviting new employees to the network
- Removing former employees from the network
- Adding and removing users to and from business units and departments
- Adding and removing users to and from topic groups
- Setting a specific role for one or multiple users
