1. Joining a group on Desktop
If you are using a web browser on your computer, you can browse all available groups and manage your memberships directly from the main sidebar.
- Click on Groups in the left-hand navigation menu.
- At the top of the dashboard, filter the view by selecting Show All Groups to see a complete overview of every group in your network.
- Find the group you are interested in and click on its card:
- For Public Groups: Click the Join button located at the top right of the page to enter instantly.
- For Restricted or Private Groups: Click the Request membership button. A notification will be sent to the group's administrator to approve your request.
2. Requesting access on Mobile
If you are on the go, you can easily discover and request to join groups using the Speakap mobile app.
- Tap on the menu icon (three horizontal lines) located in the lower right corner of the app.
- Scroll down through the menu until you locate Groups.
- Tap on Groups, then select the All Groups tab to browse the organization's directory.
- When you find a group you would like to join, simply tap the + (plus) sign next to its name to send your request or join instantly.
3. Can't find a specific group?
Every organization sets up its network layout a bit differently. If you are having trouble locating a specific group, corporate location, or localized department that you believe you should be a part of, please reach out directly to your manager or a network administrator.
They can easily look up the group's privacy settings, send you a direct invitation link, or escalate the issue to Speakap Support if something needs to be adjusted behind the scenes.
