Article Summary: This guide explains how to access Speakap if your organization uses Single Sign-On (SSO). With SSO, you do not need to create a separate Speakap password or go through a traditional activation screen. Instead, you simply use your existing company credentials to authenticate and access your account.
1. What is Single Sign-On (SSO)?
Single Sign-On (SSO) is an authentication method that allows you to securely log in to multiple applications using just one set of credentials.
If your company uses SSO for Speakap, your account is tied directly to your central company identity (such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Okta, OneLogin or Azure). This means your first successful login acts as your account activation, and you will never need to remember a separate password for Speakap.
2. Step-by-Step Instructions (Desktop & Mobile)
To activate and access your Speakap account via SSO, follow these steps:
- Open the Speakap mobile app or navigate to your company's specific Speakap web address (e.g., https://yourcompany.speakap.com) on your computer or mobile device browser.
- In the main login field, enter your official company email address or your assigned SSO username.
- Click Next (or Login).
- The Speakap system will immediately recognize your email address and automatically redirect you to your company's secure login screen.
- Enter your standard company password (and approve any Two-Factor Authentication requests if your company requires them).
- Once authenticated, you will be seamlessly redirected back to Speakap and logged in to your timeline. Your account is now active!
Note: Some organizations use authentication methods other than company email address with their SSO solution (such as entering a mobile number). When you click to sign in, your SSO screen will instruct you appropriately.
3. Troubleshooting SSO Login Issues
Because your authentication is handled entirely by your company's internal systems, Speakap cannot see, manage, or reset your SSO password.
- Incorrect Email: Ensure you are using the exact email address your HR or IT team has on file. Sometimes, the email address you use on a daily basis (an alias) differs from your official system login.
- Forgot Password: If you cannot remember your password, or if your company account is locked, clicking "Forgot password" on the Speakap login page will not work. You must contact your company's internal IT helpdesk to reset your centralized company password.
- Third-Party Cookies: If you successfully enter your password on your company's login screen but receive an error when redirected back to Speakap, your web browser might be blocking third-party cookies. Check your browser settings and ensure cross-site cookies are allowed.
