Summary: If your network uses birthday features like the Celebrations widget, your birthday is visible to colleagues once you have filled it in on your profile. This short guide shows you how to remove it and keep your special day private.
Birthday visibility on Speakap
When your network is set up to show birthdays, your upcoming birthday is automatically displayed to other network users. This only happens if you have filled in your birth date in your profile.
How to hide your birthday
If you would rather keep this private, simply remove the date from your account:
- Click your avatar, then the gear wheel (Settings), then Personal Settings.
- Click the General tab.
- Find the birthday field and delete your birth date so the field is empty.
- Save your changes.
Once deleted, your birthday is instantly removed from any birthday widgets and celebration notifications.
