1. Changing your password with a reset email
If you have forgotten your password and cannot log into your account, you can easily recover your access by requesting a password reset email from the login page.
- Go to your network's login page at https://name.speakap.com.
- At the bottom right of the login window, click on the Forgot your password? link.
- Fill in your registered email address and click the Request button.
- Go to your personal email inbox and look for a message titled Your requested password reset!
- Follow the secure link provided in the email, choose your new password, and click Set new password.
- Return to Speakap and sign in using your email address and your newly chosen password.
Note: if you only see a username/email input field, it may be that your password is managed by your organization, and a password reset will not be possible in Speakap itself. If that's the case, follow your organization's instructions.
2. Changing your password directly in Speakap
If you are already logged into the platform and know your current password, you can quickly update it from your account settings.
- Click your avatar in the top right corner of your screen.
- Click the gear wheel (Settings), then Personal Settings.
- In the settings screen, select the Security menu option from the left-hand sidebar.
- Click on the Password tab.
- Fill in your current password in the first box, followed by your desired new password in the next fields.
- Confirm your new password by clicking the Change password button to save your changes.
Forgot your password while logged in? If you are in your settings but realize you have forgotten your current password, you do not need to log out. Simply click the I forgot my password link directly within the Password screen and confirm your choice by clicking Request in the next dialogue. The system will immediately send a reset email to your primary address.
