1. Current System Limitation
At this time, Speakap does not natively support broadcasting a direct private message to an entire pre-defined group or department simultaneously. Private messages are designed for individual or multi-user custom chats rather than automated group-wide distributions.
2. Recommended Workaround
If your communication requires you to send a private message to everyone within a specific group, you can manually build your recipient list using the following steps:
- Open the messaging interface and initiate a new private message.
- In the recipient search field, look up the target group's roster.
- Select and add all group members individually to the message thread.
- Type your message and send it to compile the chat.
