Compass provides you with useful metrics to keep an eye on the state of your network and spot trends in activity and behavior. You can get real time data (as of yesterday) or go back and select a specific time window to check how your network is using the platform.

With the basic version of Compass you will have access to a free dashboard that summarizes some of the most relevant data, such as activation progress, user activity, device usage and session length. Deep dive into the details of the Compass Homepage Dashboard in the dedicated article.

An in-depth evaluation of your network’s status is an important step towards growing your platform with informed and strategic decisions. Here’s why Compass Premium offers you a wide range of extra metrics that can help you highlight success in your network and content strategy, as well as surface areas for improvement. 

Other than having access to the Compass Homepage Dashboard, you will unlock six new dashboards, each dedicated to a specific aspect of your network’s progress, with in depth metrics: 

  • Spotlight: helps you spot your top performers – the teams or groups in your organization that are doing particularly well in terms of user activation, engagement, and retention. It highlights where platform usage is strongest and where there might be opportunities for improvement.
  • Activation: allows you to have a clear visibility over the platform usage by keeping track of sent invitations, how many have been accepted and how many are still waiting to be approved.
  • Retention: know whether your users are coming back to the platform, and explore the most popular log in times for your employees.
  • Activity: measure how many users are actively interacting with the main timeline, and have an overview of engaged users in selected group timelines.
  • Content: gives you a detailed view of the type and amount of content being published in your network, along with how it is performing in terms of views, comments, and reactions.
  • Tasks: overview of the progress of all created, open, re-opened, closed or overdue tasks.

How do you access Compass?

Select your profile picture in the top right corner of the top navigation menu in Speakap, then you’ll see Compass listed as one of the options in the panel.

This is a web only feature, and it is only available to Network Administrators and (Organizational) Group Administrators
