Homepage Dashboard — Free Version

The Free version of Compass only gives you access to a simplified Homepage Dashboard which provides a restricted but valuable overview of your network’s health and engagement. It helps you understand how many users have activated their accounts, how active they are over time, and which devices they use to access the platform.

Filtering Options

At the top of the dashboard, you can refine the data displayed by using:

  • Audience Filter: View data for the entire network, or narrow it down to specific groups.
    Timeframe Filter: Select predefined periods such as “Yesterday,” “Last 7 days,” “Last 28 days,” or “Last 3 months.

Activation Overview

This section answers: How many users have activated their account?

It shows a summary of account invitations and activation progress during the selected timeframe.

Data Included:

  • Activation Rate: Percentage of invited users who have activated their accounts.
  • Avg. Total Accounts: Average number of invited accounts.
  • Avg. Activated Accounts: Average number of users who accepted their invitation.
  • Avg. Pending Accounts: Average number of users still invited but yet to activate.

User Activity & Device Insights

This section answers: How much is your network being used?

It combines user login behavior and device usage into one area, showing you how your users interact with the platform.

Activity Metrics

  • DAU (Daily Active Users): Average number of unique users logging in per day.
  • DAU/TAU: Percentage of total users logging in daily.
  • MAU (Monthly Active Users): Number of unique users logging in at least once in the past month.
  • MAU/TAU: Percentage of total users logging in at least once in the past month.

Activity Trends

A line graph labeled Active Users Over Time shows when users logged in during the selected period. This helps identify:

  • Peaks of engagement
  • Periods of low or no activity

Device Usage & Session Insights

To understand how your users access the platform, this section shows usage broken down by device type (Android, iOS, Web).

Data Included:

  • Average Number of Users per Device Type
  • Average Sessions per Device Type
  • Average Session Length per Device Type

This breakdown highlights platform preferences and session behavior, helping you plan better communication formats and support resources.

The Free Dashboard focuses on the essentials: activation, basic activity trends, and device usage. The Premium Dashboard includes more advanced retention funnels and engagement breakdowns (e.g., Engaged vs. Interacted Users).
