The first important thing to remember is that the Chat function is now accessible from the top navigation bar, by clicking on the speech bubble icon in the right hand corner. This brings you one step closer to chatting with your colleagues at all times.
Here are the other improvements we worked on for you:
- Reply to messages directly: respond to specific messages so your context is always clear.
- React to messages: Quickly express yourself using emojis.
- Pin: Highlight key messages for quick access by pinning them to the top.
- Edit: Made a typo? No problem! edit your sent messages with ease.
- Delete: Clean up your chat history by removing unnecessary messages.
- Polls: Quickly gather chat participant’s opinion with integrated polls.

Group Chats
And of course, you can still create group chats! All network members, except for external users, have the right to create group chats, and then add and delete users in there.
Being the creator of the group, or a network admin now comes with the right to delete someone else's comment in the group chat.
You can add up to 99 users at the time, so if you want more, you can do so in multiple rounds!
Just please note that we recommend not adding more than 200 users per group chat, because that could slow down notifications.
Note: if you are an external user, you can only chat with people in your Group. In the same way, private messaging with external users is only possible if they are in your Group.

Can you get the chat history of the archived chat back into the new chat?
No, and our apologies. We have implemented a whole new chat, which also means having to start with a clean slate regarding your conversations. Therefore, we have made the 'old chat' into a menu item called "Chat Archive", where you can read all your old chat conversations. -
I accidentally deleted a chat, now what?
No worries, just start a new conversation with the same user and all your history will be back! -
Can I appoint another admin of a group chat?
Not yet! We are working on this functionality. For now, all members (except for external users) of the group chat have permissions to add and delete users from a group chat. Network admins and the group admin can also delete someone else's chat. -
How do I change a group chat's name?
As a network admin or the group creator, you can change the name on desktop by clicking on details and then the pencil icon next to the name. On the apps, click the group icon in the top right corner and then the name itself. You can then change it and confirm with the checkmark.
A group automatically has the name of the users in it, so you can change it to whatever you like. When creating the group chat on desktop, you can also enter the name in the bar. On apps, it's automatically created and you can change it.
Additional info, the group name can be a maximum of 255 characters. -
How do I change a group chat's image?
This can, for now, only be done on desktop. As a network admin or the group creator, click on details and then the pencil icon next to the name. Here, you can choose a new image. -
Is there a limit to members of a chat group?
There is no limit, however we do recommend not having more than 200 users in a chat group, as more could delay the push notifications.
Please note you can add up to 99 members every time, so if you want to add more, you can do so in multiple rounds! -
I am unable to use the new chat on my company's WiFi, VPN or workplace.
Ah, this could be due to a firewall blocking our platform. Please get in touch with IT in order to get all the domains whitelisted as stated in this article.

I am unable to use the chat on my phone.
Please make sure you have updated your app to the newest version, that's where the new chat exist! You can go to your App Store or Google Play Store and check or update it from there.

Can desktop, iOS and Android users communicate without restrictions?
Yes! We've implemented the new chat on all platforms so everyone can chat seamlessly. However, this requires everyone to have the latest version of the app, so always have the user check this. And sometimes a user might need to restart the app or log in again, but then the new chat should be visible and usable. - Can I search for conversations by username? Currently, the chat search function does not include usernames in search results due to technical limitations. We understand that searching by username is important to our users, and our team is actively working on an update to enable this feature. We expect to roll this out in early 2026, with a target date of February.
Understanding Search Results:
- Channels: These are conversations with one or more users. When searching "Channels," the system looks through both the conversation titles and the message content.

- Messages: If you filter by "Messages," the search focuses exclusively on the content of the messages exchanged. - Is there a limit for attachments in chat? Yes, the limit is 100 MB per file. If you need to share a larger file, we recommend using a cloud storage link (like Google Drive or OneDrive etc ) or compressing the file before sending.
