Make sure no one misses a birthday again in your company! With this widget on your feed, you can see the birthdays of coworkers, team members, and employees front and center.
Best part? You can select the colleague celebrating their birthday, and you will immediately land on their profile, from where you can send them birthday wishes through the chat!
How does it work?
The birthday widget shows the birth day and month, the name, and the job title of every user who has filled in this information in their personal settings. Of course, each user can opt out of sharing this information by following the instructions here.
It is designed to display up to 5 users with upcoming birthdays by default. However, if there are more than 5 users with birthdays within the next 14 days, it will show all of them to ensure no one is missed. So, for example, if 100 users have a birthday in the coming two weeks, all 100 will be shown.
Managing the Brithday Widget
To install the widget, go to Network settings → Speakap Market → “+Application”.
Next, click on the “Celebrations” app and choose whether you want to install the widget on a network or group level:
When you installed the widget on a network level, you can turn off the widget via Network settings > Appearance > Widgets
When you installed the widget on a group level you can turn off the widget via:
Regular groups: Group settings > Click on the group > Widgets
Organizational structure: Organization settings > click on BU or LD > Widgets
