Summary: This guide is for admins who track training compliance and Journey progress. It explains the live progress metrics in the web admin panel, how to drill down to individual employees, and how to export detailed tracking data as a CSV file.
High-level progress overview (web only)
To track your active Journeys, log into Speakap on the web and go to the Journeys admin panel.
Platform availability: Journey analytics are only available in the desktop web application. Compliance charts and export tools are not part of the mobile apps.
In the admin dashboard, hover your mouse over any Journey's progress bar to see a quick summary of the core metrics:
- Total enrollments: How many employees are enrolled in this Journey.
- Completed: How many users finished every required step.
- In progress: How many have started but not yet finished.
- Not started: How many received the assignment but haven't opened it yet.
Drilling down to individuals
Want to see exactly who needs a reminder? Click directly on a Journey's progress bar to open the detailed analytics pane. It splits your enrolled users into named lists across the four progress states (Completed, In progress, Not started, Total enrollments), so you can see exactly which team members are falling behind.
Exporting data as CSV
For deeper analysis, cross-referencing with your HR system, or compliance paperwork, you can download your tracking data as a spreadsheet:
- How to export: Click the export file icon in the top right corner of the detailed analytics window. A CSV file downloads to your computer. To open it neatly: create a new Excel sheet, choose import, select semicolon as the separator, and hit finish.
- What's in it: The CSV goes further than the dashboard. It shows exactly which user has completed which specific steps, giving you a complete paper trail.
Export limit: The CSV export has a strict limit of 20,000 users per download. If your Journey's audience is larger than that, filter your audience views and pull the data in sequential batches.
Tip: use your data to improve adoption
If completion numbers differ sharply between parts of your organization, compare how local managers handle Journeys. Supervisors in high-performing areas often actively share, discuss, and champion Journeys on their local feeds. Spotting those differences is one of the most effective ways to improve your knowledge-sharing strategy.
Frequently asked questions
Why can't I see Journey analytics in the mobile app?
The data tables, individual rosters, and export tools are desktop web only. Log in via a computer browser to access them.
Does the CSV export show which step an employee is stuck on?
Yes. The dashboard shows high-level completion states, but the CSV details the completion status of every individual step for every enrolled user.
What if my Journey has more than 20,000 employees enrolled?
The export is capped at 20,000 user rows per CSV file. Filter your audience views and download your data in sequential batches.
Can a Group Admin export completion reports for their own team?
Yes. A Group Admin with the rights to create and launch Journeys for their team can open the Admin tab on web, monitor their progress bars, and export the matching CSV files for their members.
