Summary: It is currently not possible to send a private message to an entire group at once. If you need to reach all members of a group privately, you can add the participants to a new message one by one. This guide explains the limitation and the workaround.
Current limitation
At this time, Speakap does not support broadcasting a private message to an entire pre-defined group or department at once. Private messages are designed for individual or multi-user custom chats rather than automated group-wide distributions.
Recommended workaround
If you need to send a private message to everyone in a specific group, you can build your recipient list manually:
- Open the chat and start a new private message.
- In the recipient search field, look up the members of the target group.
- Select and add all group members individually to the message thread.
- Type your message and send it.
