Summary: A practical checklist for Network Administrators configuring the appearance of their Speakap platform. Use it to make sure your logos, banners, colors, and backgrounds are all set up correctly in the Appearance settings.
1. Why this checklist
A consistent, well-branded platform feels familiar and trustworthy to your employees. Use this checklist to review every visual asset in the Appearance settings and make sure your brand identity comes through everywhere.
2. Branding actions checklist
Work through this list to make sure every element is correctly configured:
- ☐ Network avatar: Upload your logo or a recognizable icon as the network avatar. This appears on login, registration, and community screens.
- ☐ Network logo: Provide an appropriately formatted version of your logo for the top header. Follow the ideal aspect ratio of 15:4 to avoid distortion.
- ☐ Feed and News banners: Upload high-quality banners for the Feed and News sections. The required dimensions are 1280 x 250 pixels.
- ☐ Theme colors: Select your primary, secondary, and tertiary brand colors to define the look of buttons, links, and the platform header background.
- ☐ Login backgrounds: Upload up to four images (1440 x 900 pixels) to create a professional first impression for your employees.
- ☐ Default cover photos: Set the default imagery for group pages, profile pages, and events using the recommended resolution of 1200 x 400 pixels.
3. Review and go live
Once your assets are in place, use the built-in tools to verify everything before it goes live for all users.
- Preview: Go to the Preview tab to see a mock-up of how your colors, logos, and banners work together on the desktop Feed.
- Assign theme: Use the Assign theme tab to set your configuration as the default for the entire network, or apply specific themes to different locations and departments.
