CRITICAL WARNING: PERMANENT DATA LOSS
Removing a Business Unit will permanently delete all nested local departments underneath it, along with every piece of content, Feed update, and file associated with them.
This action is completely irreversible, and the erased data cannot be recovered by administrators or support staff. We strongly recommend thoroughly auditing and backing up the content within both the Business Unit and its Local Departments before removing anything.
Step-by-step deletion process
- Log into your company's network via your web browser.
- Click your avatar in the top right corner of the screen.
- Select Organization Settings from the dropdown options.
- Locate the Business Unit using the search field.
- Hover your mouse over the name of the Business Unit to reveal hidden controls, then click the gear wheel icon that appears.
- Select Remove from the contextual menu.
- A prompt appears asking you to confirm the deletion. Click Remove to finalize your decision. (Note: clicking this immediately triggers the permanent, cascading deletion of the unit and its sub-departments.)
- A confirmation notification appears momentarily in the upper right-hand corner of your browser to confirm the removal is complete.
