Summary: This guide shows Network Administrators how to turn on the pronouns feature for their Speakap network. Once enabled, every user can add pronouns to their profile, which supports an inclusive workplace and helps colleagues address each other correctly.
1. Enabling pronouns for the network
The pronouns feature is off by default. As a Network Administrator, you can turn it on for all users:
- Click your avatar in the top right corner and open Network settings.
- Select Preferences in the menu on the left.
- Find the User Pronouns section.
- Toggle the switch to Enable Pronouns.
2. What your users will see
Once you enable the feature, a new field appears in every member's personal settings:
- Predefined options: users can pick from standard pronoun sets (He/Him, She/Her, They/Them).
- Custom text: if the predefined options don't fit, users can enter their own text.
- Visibility: after saving, their pronouns appear on their profile card, making it easier for colleagues to address them correctly in chats and updates.
For the end user side, including how members set their own pronouns, see Pronouns in Speakap.
