1. Catalog of available widgets
Widgets are dynamic components that keep your digital workspace organized and keep high-priority tools within arm's reach of your employees. Depending on your organization's subscription modules and onboarding phase, you can use the following widgets:

Feature prerequisite: The Journeys Widget can only be toggled on if your network has actively provisioned and built learning content within the Journeys framework. If your subscription tier does not include Journeys, this module stays locked.
2. How to reorder and lay out widgets
As a Network Administrator, you control the layout. If a widget becomes irrelevant, such as the Download Our Apps widget after your initial rollout phase, you can remove or reposition it to declutter the interface.
To manage your layout, follow these steps in a desktop web browser:
- Open Network Settings under your avatar, then select Appearance.
- Open the Widgets tab. To change the order, click and hold a widget block, then drag it into a new position up or down.
- Understand the split logic: The system automatically splits your sorted list across the two sides of the Feed. A maximum of 2 widgets show on the left side, and the remaining widgets show on the right side.
- Save your adjustments to publish the layout live across the platform.
Frequently asked questions
Why can't my frontline workers see the "Recent Files" widget on their smartphones?
To preserve screen space and keep the mobile interface fast, the Recent Files widget is built strictly as a desktop web experience. Mobile users can access the exact same files by browsing into the files tab of the specific Business Units, Departments, or Groups they belong to.
How do mobile users access the links saved inside our "Featured Widget"?
The application automatically optimizes your sidebar content for smaller screens. On mobile, the Featured Widget moves from the Feed layout into a dedicated menu item. Employees simply open their main application menu to tap and launch those critical documents and web links.
Can I create a completely unique widget layout for a specific private group?
Yes. Group Administrators can customize their own team environments. Open the specific group's page on web, go to Group Settings, and open the local Widgets tab. There you can override the default settings, reorder widgets, or hide them entirely to suit that team's workflow.
Is there a limit to how many links I can add to the Featured Widget?
The system does not enforce a hard limit, but packing your Featured Widget with dozens of links causes serious visual clutter. For the best user experience, reserve this space for high-traffic, essential everyday tools, and store secondary operational manuals inside the group file repositories.
Can I create custom widgets?
Yes. Developers and technical administrators can build their own widgets by registering a custom application in the Speakap Market using an application manifest.json file. By defining a custom entry and setting its position property to "network-timeline-widget" or "group-timeline-widget", you can securely embed external web tools, iframe dashboards, or custom HTML layouts (with an adjustable height between 40 and 400 pixels) directly into the desktop Feed sidebars.
