Setting personal Event reminders

Never miss an event again by making sure you get notified before it happens! The Event Reminders functionality offers to automatically enable a reminder notification to be sent upon responding as ‘Attend’ or ‘Maybe’ to an Event. By default, there will be a single reminder sent 10 minutes before an event, but it will be possible for you to change these settings for each individual event and even to set a default behaviour for these events.

In this article you can find guidelines to set event specific reminders, as well as general events reminders.

Setting up a reminder for a specific event

You can set your preferred reminder for each event to make sure the notification arrives at the perfect time for you to be ready to attend by the time the event rolls around!

By default, Speakap will send a reminder 10 minutes before the event. If you want to change this, keep reading below.

With this method, it is important to note that the settings will apply only to the specific event you are acting from.Once you set them, the bell icon indicate this by turning blue.

  1. View the Event item either on detailed view or from the feed.
  2. Click on the bell icon -  The bell icon won’t be responsive unless you respond with “Attend” or “Maybe”.
  3. Select your preferred timing for a reminder, you can even select multiple!
  4. The bell will turn blue to indicate reminders are active

It is also possible to set event reminders from both Android and iOS, and the process looks exactly the same, except for the iOS icon being an alarm instead of a bell!
