Summary: Journeys are step-by-step learning paths in Speakap, built for onboarding, training, and change management. This overview explains what Journeys can do for participants and admins, and points you to the detailed guides for completing, creating, managing, and tracking them.
What are Journeys?
Journeys guide your employees through training and knowledge sharing one step at a time. A Journey is a series of steps (article pages and quizzes) that participants work through in order. You can use them to onboard new hires automatically, roll out new procedures, or run recurring training.
Finding your Journeys
You'll get an email or push notification when a new Journey needs your attention. There are two quick ways to open your assigned Journeys:
- The main menu: Click the Journeys icon (the rocket ship) in the left-side navigation menu.
- The Feed widget: Any incomplete Journeys assigned to you also appear in a dedicated widget next to your Feed.
When you open Journeys, you land on the Assigned to me tab. Use the dropdown in the top right corner to switch between your Incomplete and Completed Journeys. Working in an international team? Click See translation while viewing a Journey to read the content in your preferred language.
For the full participant walkthrough, from notification to completion pop-up, see Completing a Journey as a Participant.
Creating and targeting a Journey
Admins and authorized users build Journeys from the Admin tab on the Journeys homepage. Click + New Journey and choose to build it yourself (By myself) or let AI generate a draft (With AI). You can customize the look with a cover image, a clear title, and a theme color (for example red, orange, blue, green, or yellow), then add article steps and quiz steps in the order you want.
Targeting is flexible: enroll new members, existing members, or both, aim the Journey at the entire network or specific Teams, Groups, or Business Units, and limit it to internal users or open it to internal and external users.
For the full creation guide, including the AI option and audience settings, see How to Create a Journey.
Managing Journeys as an admin
The Journeys admin panel is where you manage drafts, active Journeys, and permissions, including what Group Admins can and cannot do. See Managing Journeys for Admins.
Tracking progress and analytics
Once a Journey is live, you can track total enrollments, who has not started, who is in progress, and who has completed it, down to individual quiz results, and export it all as a CSV file. See Analytics in Journeys.
